Sermon Scripture
"While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the
smell thereof."--Canticles 1:12.
spikenard SPYK nuhrd», also called nard, is a plant
that grows in China and the Himalaya. Its long, narrow root yields an
essential oil once commonly used to make an expensive perfume.
Sermon Outline
I. EVERY BELIEVER HAS GRACE IN POSSESSION AT ALL TIMES.
II. GRACE IS NOT GIVEN TO A CHRISTIAN TO BE THUS HIDDEN, BUT IT IS INTENDED THAT, LIKE SPIKENARD, IT SHOULD ALWAYS BE IN EXERCISE.
III. THE ONLY WAY IN WHICH A CHRISTIAN'S GRACES CAN BE PUT INTO EXERCISE IS THAT HE MUST HAVE THE PRESENCE OF THE MASTER.

"Happy 90th, Earl" and
may you have many happy more.

Dear Earl-
Mike shared some of your life with me and we have
several things in common. My family is from the
mountains of eastern Kentucky where my Mother grew up
in a mining camp and my Grandfather worked as a miner.
My own Father fought in WWII and lost his hearing at
Iowa Jima. And I too love the Lord and thank Him for
all the blessing of and in my life.
May He continue to bless you and Happy Birthday, Earl.

Earl,
Sorta nice you still got some music left in you

Earl,
I learned about your birthday from Mike Sawyer. He says you are a gem,
and after reading a little about you, I agree. It sounds like you have
had a VERY full, wonderful life! You were SO very blessed to find your
true love! It's hard to believe you never raised your voice to each
other. Sounds like a little bit of heaven. Someday you will be
reunited with Tommie in Heaven with our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ. I hope I can somehow meet you there. You also have been
incredibly blessed with wonderful health. With all my health
challenges, it is hard to believe anyone could be as pain free as you
have been.
Keep on living a good healthy life and sharing your "Solution to Great
Living" with others. Who knows how many have already been influenced
by your life! Keep those "ripples" going! Have a fabulous birthday
and "May the good Lord bless and keep you".
(My birthday was Sunday the 2nd)
Blessings,
Lanita from Kentucky

Earl,
Happy Belated 90th Birthday. It is truly a blessing to celebrate 90 years
young.
My dad passed 10 years ago; mom will be 85 next month. They were married 56
years.
You and your wife had a wonderful life together and I know you are grateful for
that.
I have enjoyed reading your emails. Take good care,

Happy birthday, Earl!
I met Mike on the Homewood Walking Trail, and he shared part of your story
with me. You've had quite an adventurous life, and I know you've been an
inspiration to many people. It sounds like you and your wife shared a
relationship to be envied.
I work at Southern Living magazine, which is a dream come true for me. I
think I've wanted to work here most of my life, but things finally fell into
place for me to come here last year, and I couldn't be happier. I work with
wonderful people, and I read copy that I enjoy every day. The Lord has
blessed me far beyond what I deserve.
I hope you have a lovely, happy birthday.
